The software magic behind SaddlebrookeOnline.com is a system known as Wordpress. The author of SaddlebrookeOnline.com is teaching a course on how to use this powerful system to create your own Website. The course is offered at no charge to members of the SaddleBrooke Computer Club.
Course Description
One 90 minute session weekly for 5 weeks. Offered for the first time by popular demand, this course will teach you how to create your own Website using the popular Wordpress system.
Wordpress is a free online content management system that will allow you to structure your Website, build web pages & links, add & edit page content, and even display pictures & videos. During this course you will create and refine your own Website that will be suitable for personal or business applications.
In this structured, hands-on course, you will:
- learn the basics of Website layout and design
- open your own free Wordpress account
- create a “look and feel” for your Website
- add new pages and links to your Website
- add text and images to your Web pages
When you have completed this course, you will have your own Website running on the Internet, available to the world.
Course Materials
Course notes will be distributed at each course session. Have a personal Flash or Jump drive for saving these notes for home use. Optional video lessons may be available for a nominal cost.
Class Size is Limited
To achieve an optimum teaching environment, the number of students in this class is strictly controlled. So if you are interested, you should sign up ASAP to make sure you get in.
